Vice President Inonge Wina says the failure by some members of parliament to support the constitution amendment bill number 10 of 2019 was a disservice to the youth, women and people living with disabilities in the country.

Mrs. Wina says the bill contained clauses that would increase participation of the youth, women and disabled in the country’s governance system.

Speaking during the Vice president’s question time in parliament this morning, Mrs. Wina expressed sadness that going forward, the country will continue to see a low number of women participating in the country’s governance affairs.

She was responding to patriotic front member of parliament for Senga hill Kapembwa Simbao who wanted to know on what will be done to increase the number of women in parliament following the failure of bill 10.
