Zambia Not Doing Enough To Export Maize Grain – IAPRI

The Indaba Agriculture Policy Research Institute IAPRI says Zambia is not doing enough to export maize grain for the development of the agriculture sector.

IAPRI Executive Officer Chance Kabaghe says maize grain has a huge demand on the African market but the country has failed to take advantage of this saying that maize grain only goes to waste.

Speaking during the dissemination workshop of the latest research result and experiences in Zambia’s maize grain in Lusaka today, mr. Kabaghe said that despite the country recording bumper harvests since 2006, the country hasn’t taken advantage of the huge demand for maize grain in countries like the neighboring Congo Dr.
