ZCTU urges government to create more than 100, 000 decent jobs

The Zambia Congress of Trade Unions ZCTU Has appealed to government to create more than the targeted 100,000 jobs by the end of 2017 as announced by finance minister Felix Mutation during last week’s budget presentation.

ZCTU Secretary General Cosmas Mukuka says the creation of decent jobs in the country is commendable adding that it will significantly Contribute to eradicating poverty which he said is high.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka today. Mr. Mukuka also expressed concern that the pay as you earn threshold which was increased  to k3,300 from the previous k3000 did not meet their expectation which was submitted suggesting that it is pit at  k4,500.
